Description
Moody Engineering provided civil engineering services for a new 8,800 SF building that was constructed on the north side of the main entrance to the Zoo. The new construction required the rerouting/relocation of several utilities, grading to meet the existing plaza and surrounding buildings/structures and the relocation of an access drive.

Key Challenges
Both design options presented similar challenges due to site issues. These included having to relocate the drive north of the building and the existing storm sewer, and move the electric and water utilities underground. Additional ME had to address grading and drainage issues around the new building.
